"God, you can have my story!"
A highlight for me was giving a Bible overview – taking two days to tell The Story from beginning to end. When we reached the happiest ending imaginable (every nation worshiping Jesus!) we responded by thanking God for His faithfulness. I challenged my students, "We don't invite God into our little story – He's already welcomed us into His big Story." It was a sweet moment as the Holy Spirit stirred us to offer up our "blank page," inviting Him to write our chapter of The Story however He chooses.
The story of this DTS continues as we prepare for outreach to East Asia this spring!
More stories from around the world...
I'm writing this from Nicaragua, where I'm getting things set up for our summer outreach program. Opinions conflicted and the Spanish went way over my head at a meeting with several pastors last night, but in the end they agreed to overcome their differences and work together with us in bringing a Bible to every family in their community.
...and sometimes, ministry looks like sipping cocoa and making silly faces at the ice skating rink...
